It sounds like you have a fairly good idea of training. One thing that I didn't really embrace in the beginning was repetition. Some of the best conditioning can be done by repeating a simple movement many times, such as a precision jump done 50 times.
I would also suggest you look into how your body is structured, via anatomy . I have found it very beneficial to figure out how all of our systems work so I can do my best to maximize their function. The more you know about what you are training, your body, the better you can train. Knowledge is power and all that.
I am thrilled that you guys got something hopefully inspirational and thought provoking from that. I try and, when resting the body analyze my own faults and read as much as I can on the philosophies, the anatomy... everything.
